Day of Mindfulness

This day is meant to provide time for more continuous practice in mindfulness meditation. The day starts at 9 am and ends at 4 pm. Suitable for both beginners and non beginners. Option available for those who would like to have a silent day and those who would like discussion intermittently.

The recommended investigation on October 26, 2019 will be “Creating a Safe, Inner Refuge.”

Mindfulness meditation is the art of cultivating the skills to live life fully. Rather than withdrawing from the world, mindfulness can help you enjoy it more fully, effectively and peacefully.

Each class is a combination of practice, instruction and group discussion in a supportive environment. Your instructor, Vanee Songsiridej, is a certified mindfulness meditation teacher. She has years of experience practicing and teaching mindfulness meditation. She has taught Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction programs since 1992.

The mindfulness program is committed to intentionally welcoming people of all races, faiths, ethnic backgrounds, gender expression and sexual orientations.

Beginners and anyone who is interested in attending are welcome.

Sunday Mindfulness meditation on Zoom

the group gets together on the Second and Fourth Sundays of the month from 9:30-11:30 am. We are using the book “Meditation“ by Ajahn Thanissaro for our practice. The practice is suitable for beginners or non-beginners. You can join us at anytime you are able. More details will be emailed to you if you have not already received an email about this when you register.

Thursday Mindfulness Meditation on Zoom

We meet for mindfulness practice from 6-8 pm at Gundersen Health System. There will be gentle mindful movement in the form of Tai Chi, meditation, check in and Q&A. Suitable for both beginners and experienced meditator. This is held on the second and fourth Thursday of the month. Email with more details will be sent to you once you register
